Scope of Practice

As a license massage therapist, Anne Schuster is held to the standards and certification of the Ohio Medical Board, Kentucky Massage board and Associated Bodyworkers and Massage professionals. Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Anne Schuster Massage does not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions nor is she permitted to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor’s supervision.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

It is the responsibility of the client to keep the onsite massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued. The client should inform Anne of any changes in health conditions. If you are feeling less than well or are experiencing any flu symptoms, please cancel any appointment.

NOTE: For those who have been here before, you know that I own a German Shorthaired Pointer mix dog who is currently 2.5 years old. Calvin is a sweet dog who joins us in the massage room. He is an excellent massage therapy dog and typically curls up and sleeps under the massage table or on his dog bed. However, if you have any issues with dogs or are allergic, I will make other arrangements for him for your appointment.

Calvin is a very sweet dog!
